Public Transport to Jovellar Underground River

FROM LEGAZPI CITY

Step 1: Go to Legazpi Grand Central Terminal
Located near Gaisano Mall or Pacific Mall.
Ride a jeepney or tricycle to the terminal.

Step 2: Ride a Jeepney to Jovellar Town Proper
Look for jeepneys with the “Jovellar” signage.
These jeepneys go directly to Jovellar town proper.
Travel time: 1.5 to 2 hours

Jeepney departs once full. First trips usually start at 6:00 AM.

Step 3: Register at the Tourism Office
Once in Jovellar town proper, head to the Municipal Tourism Office (usually walking distance from the market).
Register and pay environmental/entrance fees.
They can also arrange for a local guide (highly recommended for the underground river and tubing).

Step 4: Ride a Habal-Habal or Tricycle to Barangay Quitinday
Ask for a ride going to the Underground River or Quitinday area.
Travel time: 15–20 minutes

Step 5: Walk to the River Site
After being dropped off, there’s a short hike (around 5–10 minutes) to the Jovellar Underground River entrance.
Local guides will assist you with life vests and tubing.
